Senior Traffic Engineer/ Traffic Modeler - H&H : Job Details

H&H is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Traffic Engineer/Traffic Modeler with five+ years of professional experience to join our transportation team. This position supports our Southern District operations and may include responsibilities in North Carolina, Louisiana, and Texas. The role involves traffic signal design, traffic analysis, signing and pavement marking design, and assisting with transportation project design. Experience with Florida DOT and County policies is preferred.

• Design traffic signals, signing, and striping, and serve as Engineer of Record on plan sets
• Conduct intersection and roadway capacity analyses using HCS, Synchro, and SimTraffic software; prepare traffic impact studies
• Create engineering documents, design reports, and variation/exception reports
• Support regional offices and coordinate plans across disciplines
• Perform quality control procedures
• Market services to clients and assist with technical proposals and presentations (preferred)

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
• Florida PE license or ability to obtain
• PTOE certification is a plus
• At least five years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of FDOT standards and design criteria
• Understanding of transportation disciplines related to traffic design
• Strong communication and technical writing skills
• Ability to train and mentor junior staff
