Senior Project Manager – Signal Design (Florida)

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, design, and delivery of traffic signal projects for public and private clients
- Oversee preparation of signal design plans (wiring diagrams, phasing, timing, equipment specifications)
- Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, and quality control across the full lifecycle
- Coordinate with roadway engineers, transportation planners, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution
- Conduct and review warrant analyses, control evaluations, and timing studies
- Ensure compliance with FDOT, MUTCD, and local standards
- Act as the primary client contact, developing relationships and ensuring responsiveness
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical knowledge-sharing across the team
- Support proposal writing, scoping, and business development activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering (or related)
- P.E. license in Florida (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- 8+ years' experience in traffic signal design, with at least 3 years in project/team management
- Strong expertise in signal operations, timing, and hardware/software systems
- Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Synchro, SIDRA, AGi32, or similar tools
- Familiarity with permitting processes and agency standards (FDOT, local MPOs, municipalities)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
