Salary: $21.50 Hourly Location : UCMO - Warrensburg, MO Job Type: Non-Exempt Staff Full Time Job Number: 999719 Division: Testing Services Opening Date: 07/31/2025 Description The primary purpose of the Senior Testing Coordinator is to provide testing support services for faculty, students, military personnel, and the community. This position will provide guidance, routine direction, daily supervision, training, and advisement to testing center personnel (full-time testing coordinator(s), temporary staff, and graduate/undergraduate student workers) regarding testing policies, procedures, and expected outcomes. Provide administrative support to the Director Testing Services. Examples of Duties Perform constituent relations specialist duties to include:-70%
- Administer paper/pencil, computer-based, and internet-based tests on weekdays, Saturdays and evenings as needed on campus.
- Primary responsibility for overseeing Teacher Certification-related exams, such as the Praxis exam.
- Oversee HiSET rosters, test material, deposits, staff training and arrangements for paper-pencil and online HiSET test administration.
- Act as primary liaison between testing site, special program coordinators, and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education offices.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Adult Education and Literacy programs and committees.
- Notify Director of status of assessment preparations, registration, orders, test staff schedule, and/or problems on test day.
- Assist in-person, office email and telephone customers to determine needs.
- Respond to all constituents by either answering/providing desired information or by referring them to the appropriate personnel/office.
- Respond to and/or take telephone messages and email messages, including ensuring all mail is received by the appropriate person. Respond verbally or in writing to routine inquiries and complex inquiries.
- Provide accurate information regarding test registration, test dates, and score reporting processes.
- Register and bill and/or collect test administrative fees from students for all tests as needed.
- Coordinate and manage the distribution, data entry, and filing of test score reports.
- Train and monitor student employee(s) and graduate students in performing receptionist and/or clerical duties.
- Maintain and prepare end of year test log report to director, Academic Affairs, Institutional Research and other offices as needed.
Provide administrative support for the Director to include: -30%
- Assist with the supervision of student assistants and coordinate their schedules to include the processing of score reports in a timely and accurate manner, assisting with needs of staff (copy, fax, scan, sort, and proof), assisting with maintaining professional office environment.
- Assist with timesheet approvals, student assistant EPAF's, and Graduate Assistant hiring processes.
- Prepare and distribute accurate and timely information to faculty, staff, students and the general public.
- Manage computerized and manual-filing systems of department records including test registrations.
- Coordinate and maintain calendars and schedule appointments for Director as needed.
- Update staff of test dates and events on a weekly basis. Maintain an up-to-date desk manual of office tasks.
- Maintain list of office and/or test supplies as well as maintain records of office equipment, furniture, etc.
- Serve as recorder, prepare, and distribute minutes for all office staff meetings.
Typical QualificationsEducation:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree preferred (any discipline).
Experience:
- Three years experience working in a customer relations office environment required.
- One year experience working in a university environment preferred.
- Experience in test administration or related operations strongly preferred.
Licenses and Certifications: Requires additional background test to conduct FAA testing. Become certified to administer all exams offer by Testing Services within a reasonable employment timeframe (PSI, Pearson Vue, College Board, ETS,CCE, etc.).
