Job Overview:

The Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) will lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts in support of the Platform Software team. Leverage your expertise to drive weekly team ceremonies, break down work into manageable user stories, and maintain a well-groomed backlog that enables focused execution. Partner closely with the Platform Engineering Manager to represent the team in leadership and prioritization forums, ensuring alignment on goals and delivery timelines. Collaborate with the Quality team to plan and communicate releases, develop comprehensive test strategies, and manage issues through to resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Program Leadership: Collaborate with other TPM team members to identify problems, define and communicate the overarching product and engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning with company objectives, market trends, and customer requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead cross-functional engineering initiatives, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages communication, knowledge sharing, and innovation. Coordinate with software, QA, and Hardware teams to ensure effective collaboration and alignment throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Program Lifecycle Management: Take ownership of leading the team through the end-to-end program lifecycle, including ideation, innovation, requirements gathering, architecture definition, solution identification, quality management, and release planning. Ensure high product quality standards are maintained throughout development.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Stay updated on market trends, emerging technologies, partner technologies, and competitor activities. Collaborate with Legal for compliance and with Marketing to capitalize on market differentiators.
  • Product Research and Feature Cohesion: Work with Product Managers and research teams to gather insights, validate hypotheses, and ensure features align with legal requirements and maintain cohesion across the product portfolio.
  • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of progressive product or program management experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or related fields
    • Proven expertise in understanding customer needs
    • Experience in defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap
    • Experience managing an iterative engineering team backlog
    • Ability to articulate and validate product and engineering hypotheses
    • Success in collaborating with remote or co-located teams of engineers and designers
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a rapidly changing environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Masters of Business Administration
    • Experience with Agile development teams
    • Background in software or AI engineering
    • Proven collaboration with engineers, designers, and business partners
    • Experience with Lean software delivery methodology
    • Experience in a design or engineering role (a plus)
    • Experience leading or supporting user research
    • Project or Product Management certifications (PMP, Agile, SCRUM Master, SAFe, etc.)

    Compensation Range: Base salary from $95,600 to $133,600, with equity and other benefits. Compensation varies based on skills and experience.
