We help consumers turn their smart thermostats, EVs, batteries, and other products into virtual power plants that keep the grid stable and enable higher penetration of solar and wind power.About the OpportunityWe are looking to hire a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead large cross-team initiatives on our Tech (Product & Engineering) team.Main Responsibilities: What you'll do
- Lead and truly own multiple complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with cross-functional teams across the company.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and issues that may impact program delivery.
- Coordinate all players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
- Establish and maintain program management best practices and standards. Make things better as you're doing it so that next time we won't need to reinvent the wheel.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams, ensuring alignment on program goals and priorities.
- Drive requirements and documentation efforts across teams, ensuring that essential information is always captured.
- Identify and track success metrics.
- Drive agile methodology adoption across the Tech organization.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience: What you need
- 8+ years of experience leading large cross-team initiatives
- A strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and related technologies.
- The ability to understand and discuss technical concepts with engineering teams.
- Proven experience building new processes and rolling them out to teams and departments.
- Comfort working with stakeholders of all levels.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Experience: Nice-to-haves
- Industry experience – working with device manufacturers (thermostat, battery, electric vehicle, ev chargers, heat pumps, solar panels) and/or utility companies.
