Senior Technical Account Manager - Gables Search Group : Job Details

Must have PROGRAMMING back ground and willing to travel about 40%. We're recruiting for a client in need of a Senior Technical Account Manager to join their expanding sales team. This role blends technical expertise with customer-facing strategy; ideal for someone who started in programming and grew into pre-sales or account management. You'll be the technical face of the business, supporting medium and large commercial fleets with diagnostic software, hardware tools, and custom solutions. The role is based onsite at their Detroit-area facility and reports directly to the VP of Global Accounts. Key Responsibilities:

• Present and demo diagnostic platforms and services to fleet customers and prospects
• Lead sales strategy for targeted accounts, including proposal development and forecasting
• Collaborate with internal tech and sales teams to support customer needs and product implementation
• Expand the customer base by identifying and developing new fleet accounts
• Deliver strong post-sales support while maintaining and growing long-term relationships
• Track industry trends and competitor activity to refine go-to-market strategy

What You'll Bring:

• Background in programming, controls, or diagnostic systems with transition into sales or pre-sales
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Experience working with commercial vehicle fleets, automotive service equipment, or diagnostic platforms
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience
• High-level professionalism, organizational skills, and client-facing confidence
• Comfortable with 30-50% travel for client meetings and demos
