About the Role:

• Position: Senior Systems Support Specialist
• Work Environment: Onsite is highly preferred, but we are open to remote work options.
• Team Name: CBIC Cloud Migration
• Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with possible overtime to meet project timelines.

Essential Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field; or 4 years of relevant experience; or 2 years of experience with an associate degree.
• Experience: 1 year of technical experience in systems analysis, design, and/or programming.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the team to support and analyze production system issues, recommending practical solutions.
• Conduct system configurations, scheduling, and modifications, and provide technical support for performance concerns.
• Assist in system performance monitoring and participate in capacity analysis.
• Engage in work sessions for implementations, releases, and disaster recovery exercises.
• Complete administrative tasks, including maintaining logs and documentation.

Required Skills:

• Strong comprehension of data storage techniques and basic database management.
• Understanding of production systems maintenance and programming impact.
• Familiar with development methodologies and quality assurance processes.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.

Technologies:

• Agile experience and familiarity with cloud-hosted applications.
• Experience with Linux/Unix Operating Systems and web/application servers like Apache or Tomcat.
• Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Git.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk and Datadog is a plus.
