Mavis Tire has experienced tremendous growth and is in search of a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to support our operations across the country out of our headquarters in White Plains, NY. We are looking for someone who will continually learn and grow with us. You will be part of a growing team of IT experts working to support and enhance the IT environments they manage.

Job Description:

This position will provide IT infrastructure and operational stewardship, and hands-on implementations. They will drive transformation of the IT infrastructure to leading edge technologies to improve business agility. This is a key engineering role within the IT organization and interfaces closely with internal stakeholders, executive management and internal department heads. The role will ensure reliable infrastructure services; including internal systems, servers, network, unified-communications and technical support services.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of datacenter and cloud infrastructure
• Installs, configures, tests and maintains operating systems, applications, database software and system management tools
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure including data networks, external connectivity, internally developed applications, 3rd party platforms and systems, network security, servers, storage, and backup solutions
• Responsible for the design and delivery of projects supporting IT strategy and vision
• Manage a mix of long-term projects and short-term service requests with a high degree of flexibility and effective delegation
• Actively promotes the core values of the company within the organization
• Drives integrated teams to deliver business process and technology solutions in support of key internal initiatives by working closely with stakeholders, engineers, developers and vendors
• Defining opportunities to adopt innovative processes and technologies

Requirements:

• 5+ years leading the design and implementation of enterprise-level infrastructure
• Deep fundamental technical knowledge of networking, systems/applications, and cloud technologies

• A blend of business, technical, financial, analytical, and communication skills
• Excellent critical/structured analysis, strategic planning and project execution skills
• Knowledge of and access management
• Knowledge of scripting - Powershell, Python, VBscript

• Hands on deployment and maintenance experience of Microsoft server technologies - Failover Cluster, Hyper-V
• Advanced hands on experience with Microsoft Active Directory including GPO, DNS, DHCP
• Knowledge of email best practices and administration.
• Hands on knowledge of Veeam backup and recovery.
• Must be able to manage time effectively and independently complete projects
