Senior Systems Administrator - DataMasters : Job Details

Job Description Contract or contract-to-hire opportunity with our client. Position is ON-SITE - candidates must live within a commutable distance. Local travel will be required approximately 1 day per week to local client sites. The ideal candidate will have senior-level experience with systems administration, as well as network administration and Cloud experience Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support a new IT infrastructure alongside the current environment.
• Manage and maintain systems and network operations, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, AWS, VPNs, Active Directory, and Hyper-V environments.
• Oversee firewall management, backup systems (including VEEAM), and network security protocols.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth IT operations.
• Provide on-site support with occasional travel (once per week) to regional locations including Lumberton, Burlington, and Asheboro.

Qualifications:

• Ideal experience includes both systems and network administration.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365, AWS, VPNs, Active Directory, and Hyper-V.
• Solid understanding of firewall configuration and management.
• Proficiency in backup and recovery solutions such as VEEAM.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be a self-starter and communicate well with all levels of the organization.
