About the Role:

We're seeking a Senior Systems Solutions Engineer to join our growing Managed Services team. In this client-facing and technically advanced role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor and solutions architect, designing and implementing complex infrastructure solutions for a diverse portfolio of customers.

This is a hands-on, strategic role perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment and enjoys architecting secure, scalable, and resilient systems leveraging Azure, VMware, and enterprise-grade firewall technologies.

What You'll Do:

• Design and implement enterprise-level infrastructure solutions across Microsoft Azure, VMware, and network firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco).
• Lead infrastructure migrations, cloud integrations, and network/security overhauls for SMB to mid-market clients.
• Serve as a technical escalation point and mentor for junior engineers.
• Collaborate with account managers and clients to scope and propose solutions that align with business needs.
• Perform systems audits, security assessments, and disaster recovery planning.
• Support the ongoing improvement of documentation, standard operating procedures, and automation scripts.

What You Bring:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering or solutions architecture within an MSP or enterprise environment.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure IaaS/PaaS environments – provisioning, migration, networking, and security.
• Advanced knowledge of VMware vSphere/ESXi, including clustering, vMotion, and storage/network integration.
• In-depth experience with next-gen firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto), VPNs, and Layer 3 routing.
• Strong background in PowerShell or other scripting languages for automation.
• Solid understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies, cloud security, and compliance best practices.
• Relevant certifications highly preferred (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, VMware VCP, Fortinet NSE, or similar).
