$100,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

As a Senior System Engineer, you will report to the Site Engineering Manager and work onsite in Blacksburg, VA.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or aeronautical engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in the design and analysis of precision electromechanical equipment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Experience with mechanical design/packaging, electrical skills, and analytical skills.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools (UG NX preferred).
• Experience with motion simulations and motion control techniques.

• Design complex rotary servo motion assemblies for harsh environments in military and aerospace markets.
• Develop concepts and requirements across engineering disciplines to create integrated electromechanical systems.
• Predict system performance and select optimal approaches based on engineering principles.
• Lead product development teams to ensure project success.
• Monitor project progress and report to senior management.
• Interpret customer specifications and requirements.
• Prepare statements of work and specifications; liaise with suppliers and customers on technical matters.
