What You'll Do
  • Lead and manage your own structural engineering projects (federally funded)
  • Supervise a team of structural engineers and designers
  • Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, clients, and contractors
  • Oversee design of structural systems across materials and codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, UFC, etc.)
  • Participate in field surveys, evaluate existing buildings, and write technical reports
  • Review construction documents and support contractors during construction
  • Manage budgets, track staff hours, and contribute to proposals
  • Review and mentor the work of junior engineers
What We're Looking ForRequired:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural, Civil, or Architectural Engineering
  • PE or SE License
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience, with 4+ years of project management
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future (no sponsorship)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and team leadership skills
Preferred:
  • Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, RAM, Tekla, MathCAD, or Tedds
  • Experience with Deltek Ajera
  • Ability to obtain a Secret or Top Secret clearance

Location & Schedule
  • Office location: Alexandria, VA 22312 (near Springfield/Washington, DC)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, flexible 40-hour schedule
  • Work from Home: 1 day/week after 90 days
  • Travel: Occasional domestic/international travel (e.g., Tokyo!)
