Position Overview

Location: 2-3 days a week in the office (NYC) or on a client site.

Reporting to: Steve Cargill, USA Sales Director.

On Target Earnings: $320,000 - $360,000.

Base Salary: $160,000 - $180,000 + Equity.

The hyperexponential Sales team has been immensely successful, establishing our Sales and Marketing teams in 2021 and achieving significant growth in just four years. We doubled our revenue in 2023/24, recently raised $73M in Series B funding, and are on a path to unicorn status. Our goal is to reach $100M in revenue within the next 2-3 years, with 2025 projected to be our biggest year yet.

Our client base includes leading insurers and reinsurers worldwide, such as Sompo, Markel, Beazley, Aspen, Ascot, Aviva, Convex, Canopius, Aegis, Inigo, and one of the 'Big 5' US insurers. Our high-touch sales approach involves engaging multiple stakeholders over extended periods, focusing on clients with revenues over $100M and deals generating $150K - $1M+ annually.

As a Senior Strategic Account Executive, you will play a key role in helping us scale in the US market, building credibility with industry professionals, and contributing to our goal of becoming a billion-dollar software company through new client acquisition and growth.

Your Mission

Contribute to making hyperexponential a $100M revenue company by being one of the first US hires in the Strategic Accounts team, working on our largest accounts, and establishing best practices for sales in the US market.

Leverage our risk modeling SaaS platform, hx Renew, to help (re)insurers improve pricing decisions, thereby supporting societal growth and innovation. Your efforts will directly impact our growth trajectory and industry transformation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a sales strategy targeting key accounts, managing and closing deals while ensuring market coverage.
  • Manage relationships with multiple senior stakeholders, including C-Suite executives.
  • Build and qualify a robust sales pipeline, focusing on efficient resource utilization.
  • Engage internal teams at appropriate stages to advance sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives and marketing teams to generate and nurture leads.
  • Drive outbound prospecting and build relationships with system integrators and resale partners.
  • Participate in marketing events and collaborate with internal teams to promote hx Renew.
Initial Deliverables
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of our product and the insurance sector.
  • Establish relationships within hyperexponential and create a sales plan to achieve targets.
  • Learn internal systems and start building territory plans and sales activities.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Successful experience in B2B SaaS complex solution sales, with a focus on new business hunting.
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills.
  • Proven record of exceeding $2M+ sales quotas.
  • Experience in complex client environments and using sales tools like SFDC.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies such as MEDDICC, Sandler, Challenger, or Value-Based Selling.
