Summary:

A neurotechnology company developing implantable medical devices is hiring multiple Machine Learning Engineers to work on production-grade ML systems. These roles focus on building and deploying models using real-world neural and sensor data collected over extended implant durations. Engineers will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver machine learning solutions that support both clinical research and commercial applications. The team values candidates with strong engineering skills, a passion for applied ML.

Please note that medical device experience is a hard requirement for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Design, train, and deploy ML models using time-series, speech, and sensor data
• Build scalable, production-ready ML pipelines in a cloud environment (e.g. AWS)
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to integrate models into systems
• Optimize model performance for deployment on embedded hardware or clinical platforms
• Contribute to testing, validation, and reliability of ML-driven features
• Translate raw data into actionable insights through robust feature engineering
• Apply best practices in version control, documentation, and reproducibility

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar applied ML role
• Proficiency in Python (including PyTorch and NumPy) and experience with C or C++
• Strong understanding of ML techniques for time-series data, signal processing, or computer vision
• Experience deploying ML models in production, ideally in cloud environments like AWS
• Graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Neuroscience, or related field preferred
• Experience working with embedded systems, hardware-integrated ML, or medical/wearable devices
• Strong communication skills and interest in mission-driven work in healthcare or neurotechnology
