More about our teamOur Purchasing team plays a pivotal role in supply chain operations, ensuring timely and accurate order management. With a focus on supplier collaboration and problem-solving, the team works cross-functionally to support hospital operations and patient care nationwide.
How you'll contributeASenior Specialist, Purchasingwho thrives in this role will:
Create purchase orders from requisitions for assigned suppliers and categories
Monitor order transmission and confirmations to ensure fulfillment accuracy
Collaborate with suppliers to resolve backorders and order issues
Process order amendments and manage follow-ups
Respond to inquiries from suppliers and care sites regarding orders
Support vendor and internal partner requests in a timely, professional manner
Provide team oversight, including task planning, training, and quality checks
Maintain regular and reliable attendance
Perform other duties as assigned

Education:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Operations or a related field
Experience:
2-3 years of supply chain experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
Skills and Abilities:
Strong business mathematical skills (rates, ratios, percentages, graphs)
Intermediate technical computer skills, including databases and software systems
Effective communicator with ability to convey complex information and resolve issues
Leadership experience in task delegation, performance oversight, and project coordination
Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare regulatory compliance preferred
