Join Leidos as a Senior Solid Rocket Propulsion Expert and be part of a dynamic team of Subject Matter Experts dedicated to providing analytical insights in launch vehicle and missile technologies, satellite systems, and C4ISR. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with robust industrial experience in the design, development, testing, and deployment of solid propellant rocket motors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate expertise across all facets of solid propellant rocket motors. Collaborate effectively within team settings while exhibiting the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Engage constructively with clients at various organizational levels on a daily basis.

  • Perform in-depth analyses on solid propulsion components within ballistic missile systems to evaluate their capabilities. Provide advice and support for government client's assessments concerning materials, equipment, and infrastructure pertinent to ballistic missile proliferation and production.

  • Educate and instruct on solid propellant rocket fundamentals, modeling, and manufacturing requirements. Exhibit familiarity with propellant and modeling formulations while analyzing motor performance. Possess experience in solid propellant rocket engine manufacturing processes, tooling, procedures, and testing methods.

  • Mentor junior colleagues, fostering their professional development and enhancing their skills in the industry.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of experience, or a Master's Degree with 13+ years of experience, with at least 12+ years related specifically to solid rocket propellants.

  • A Secret security clearance (or higher) is required, with the capability to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

  • A valid U.S. passport is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with foreign solid propellant motor technologies.

  • Experience with military systems related to propellants.

  • An advanced degree is advantageous, with a background in Organic Chemistry being a plus.

  • Current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is preferred.

  • 15-20 years of experience in the field is an asset.

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $134,550.00 - $243,225.00
