GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Solar DG Project Developer will support the development of solar and storage projects under 20MWAC throughout the United States. This is a fast-paced and multi-faceted role facing multiple internal and external stakeholders and provides exposure to commercial matters.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIESManage all aspects of solar project development including review of regulatory, environmental, real estate, technical and interconnection due diligence for projects under 20MW AC.Conduct due diligence and project analysis for PV solar rooftop and ground mounted projects in various states.Produce preliminary feasibility reports, including permit road map, development budget, schedule and risk analysis.Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, and construction to ensure efficient and compliant development of solar projects.Manage consultants, external stakeholders and developers and other third parties to ensure project success.Support as needed in the structuring, negotiating, and closing of land agreements and tax agreements.Manage budgets, milestones, schedules, and deliverables for development projects.Review and manage application efforts to various solar incentive programsEnsure development activities are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsWork with the development team to problem solve around various development issues to bring projects to successful commercial operation.Identify high-level key project, interconnection and access constraints.Review permit applications and permit requirements, and associated impacts to the projectDirect reports: 1 direct reports; 1 - 5 indirect reports; multiple third-party consultants/contractorsTravel: As neededDESIRED QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 3 years managing the development of multiple solar energy projects simultaneouslyBachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science or related fieldDeep knowledge of navigating site development activities including, but not limit to, utility interconnection, permitting, land easements, and environmental studiesFamiliarity with the system design process and critical componentsDemonstrated success of developing solar PV projects through the full project development lifecycle.Financial planning, budgeting, organizational and resource management abilitiesStrong ability to prioritize tasks with ability to timely achieve goals, and effectively manage variety of project stakeholders.Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and tight timelines without promptExceptional ability in analytical problem solving and strong communication skillsUnderstanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.Competency in Analytical Problem Solving, Strong Communication, Customer/Partner Relationships, and Technology Expertise preferredBEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENTSStrong leadership and team-building skillsExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsAbility to be self-motivated and willingness to take initiativeStrong organizational commitment and organizational skillsExemplary standards of integrity, honor, safety, management, ethics, quality, and productivityStrong interest in renewable energyAbility to work effectively with minimal directionDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multi-departmental teamsStrong interpersonal and teamwork skillsPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONSSitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to frequently perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching while on project sites; ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environmentSpeech/Reading: Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formLifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 20 poundsVision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule formSafety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary#J-18808-Ljbffr
