Senior Software Integration Engineer with Security Clearance - Moseley Technical Services : Job Details

Senior Software Integration Engineer - GMD Weapon Systems Onsite at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO Target salary range: $120,000 - $200,000 This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.) Senior software integration engineer to support software engineering efforts on the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program in Colorado Springs, CO Responsibilities: * Maintain lab and mininode configurations to include adding, removing, updating redhat package manager modules (RPMs) for testing/verification * Produce lab runs to test and evaluate new software capabilities as well as perform daily log file management * Create scenarios and input files to evaluate specific conditions and software behaviors in the GMD Fire Control software * Perform message tracing between portions of GFC software to ensure system functions as intended * Investigate and document issues discovered during lab runs and provide log files to software developers * Obtain/Maintain Security+ certification and continuation education training requirements for a privileged user account * Support daily Scrum meetings Qualifications: * U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law * Active Secret Clearance required * Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM related field and 14+ years of experience or Master's degree and 12+ years* Fundamental understanding of the systems engineering process and experience with system development of a software-centric product (preferably with a system in a system of systems type environment)* Experience generating scripts and a fundamental understanding of software development with the ability to troubleshoot and support software integration efforts* Experience with working both the macro (overall plan) and micro (detailed execution), levels of software development Preferred Qualifications: * Current Security+ certification highly preferred * Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) or Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience * Experience with application software involving GUIs in a Linux environment* Familiarity with programming in C++, Java, Ada* Knowledge of Linux GUI tools such as Eclipse and GNAT Programming Studio (GPS)* Demonstrated interest in learning GMD architecture and system interactions Full-Time position with an employee-owned (ESOP) company, that offers a comprehensive pay and benefits package inclusive of an excellent medical and dental insurance program, 401(k) plan, employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), life insurance, disability insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, tuition and training reimbursement, and and incentive compensation program.
