Job Description

We are building an encrypted blockchain. We're looking for a senior engineer to join us in New York City.

You'll be joining a small, fast-moving team of seven engineers who combine deep expertise in cryptography, compilers, and distributed systems. Our team includes industry veterans from titans like Wintermute and standout talent from institutions like Stanford.

We're backed by a16z and Polychain. They capitalized us with a few years of runway.

Hard Requirements

• Experience in either Rust, C, or C++

• 2+ years of software engineering experience; 4+ years preferred

• Understands the commitment required to make a startup succeed

• Strong communication skills

• You work independently to bring hard tasks to completion

• You do not need to be crypto expert

• Located in NYC or willing to relocate (this is not a remote position!)

Qualifications

• Experience working at a startup or on a small team

• Experience with Ethereum ecosystem, especially Solidity and the EVM

• Bonus: experience with trusted execution environments, Yocto, or BitBake

& Interview Process

1. Hiring Manager Interview: Discuss your career goals, ask questions, and review expectations.

&

2. Technical Interview 1: Implement a basic algorithm in Solidity during a 1-hour call. Ensure sforge is installed.

&

3. Behavioral Interview: 45-minute in-depth discussion about your background.

&

4. Take-Home Test: Receive a test 48 hours prior, then discuss it in a 1-hour call.

&

5. Final Onsite Interview: Fly to NYC for a day to meet the team and have a final interview, with dinner or drinks afterward.
