Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focusing on payload reliability to strengthen our ability to diagnose and resolve cross-system failures. You will design and maintain investigation tools, work across engineering teams to root cause issues, and develop frameworks to improve payload reliability on orbit. This role is highly cross-functional and ideal for an engineer who enjoys jumping into diverse challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Designing tools and workflows to support root cause analysis and anomaly investigations
• Collaborating with software, FPGA, and systems engineers to resolve mission-critical reliability issues
• Developing data pipelines, dashboards, or automation to accelerate diagnosis
• Participating in flight system monitoring and trending analysis
• Supporting cross-team efforts to harden the payload against known and emerging failure modes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience with embedded systems, system troubleshooting, or reliability engineering
• Versatile skills across Linux, Python, CI/CD frameworks, and system-level debugging
• Experience with telemetry and data visualization tools is a plus
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
