Senior Software Engineer - TECHBRAINS : Job Details

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Collibra, you will play a crucial role in shaping the engineering roadmap and priorities. You'll be responsible for developing high-quality code, participating in testing, and ensuring its ongoing maintenance. Applying pragmatic engineering approaches, you'll deliver tangible value to our customers.

Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with Product Management, Design, Architecture, Operations, QA, UX, and fellow Engineers. Together, you'll estimate work, design scalable and performant solutions, and produce top-notch production-grade software. You will be seen as a lead engineer who focuses and aligns on team objectives, following agile processes (Scrum) to ensure transparency and visibility of your deliverables. You will mentor other engineers, leveraging your experience and knowledge to guide them.

Requirements:

• Professional expertise in scaling Java applications
• Experience with Spring or Spring Boot, with a strong understanding of best practices
• Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (preferably PostgreSQL)
• Experience in architectural design translation to development
• Experience building and designing SaaS software for cloud deployment
• Knowledge of OO principles, Design Patterns, functional programming, and clean code principles
• Experience with Agile process (Scrum)
• Experience mentoring other engineers and leading projects
• Eligible to work in Czechia

Nice to have:

• Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Experience with multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience building and designing effective CI/CD pipelines
