Senior Software Engineer - Compunnel : Job Details

Client is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to write and maintain code within applications and systems to implement capabilities and features, improve performance and maintainability, while reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps.

The Sr. Software Engineer will play a role in Agile planning, providing advice and guidance, and monitoring emerging trends.

You will be working on flagship applications used directly by our client's customers and assisting as needed with new application development.

Responsibilities:

Participate in agile team activities such as providing input into story sizing, refinement, and release planning for solutions

Participate in ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products.

Participate in the engineering community, staying up to date on best practices to share insights with others in the organization

Collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines to define technology objectives, assess solution options and devise architectural solutions that both achieve strategic business goals and meet operational requirements.

Engage in reviews of own work and lead reviews of colleagues' work.

5+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot

Working experience with React/Redux and React Hooks

3+ years working in Azure, AWS, or GCP

Exposure to REST API integration

Strong understanding of a continuous integration continuous deployment (CICD) model

Experince working with Agile/Scrum methodologies

Experience with writing unit testing

Primary Skills:

Java, Spring boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and some cloud exposure
