• Work in Guidewire Claim Center to design and develop scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and maintainable solutions.
• Create APIs, microservices, and integrations required for feature implementation.
• Deliver code components, modules, and business solutions adhering to Hartford's coding standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions aligned with business needs and architectural vision.
• Understand and implement the technical vision, considering cross-functional impacts and architecture rationalization.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
• Proactively address technical issues and risks affecting project schedules or application integrity.
• Coach and mentor junior developers.
• Stay informed about industry trends in related technical domains.
• Telecommuting options available. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation.
  • 3 years of experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter or PolicyCenter (version 9 or above), including integrations.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Gosu, JavaScript, HTML, or CSS.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools including GIT, Jenkins, uDeploy, or NexusIQ.
  • Knowledge of SQL and RDBMS.
  • Experience building and leveraging reusable services, patterns, and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with formal software engineering methodologies like agile development (SAFe, Scrum, DevOps/CI-CD).
