Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer-DevOps with a proven track record of collaborating across teams to deliver high-quality, scalable systems. You will work with Performance Tools Operations teams, System Administrators, and Network Engineers to support our largest customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in DevOps, Configuration Management, web and network infrastructure architecture, build and deployment processes, change management, and release management. You are passionate about automation and scalable solutions and will enable peers across engineering, support, and cloud teams to leverage our solutions.

Qualifications

• Desire for continuous improvement in quality assurance processes
• Solid knowledge of shell scripting and text processing (awk, sed, grep, python)
• Ability to drive architectural discussions and influence infrastructure design
• Experience in automation and acting as a technical strategist
• Experience with compliance audits and proactive controls
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills
• Comfort with cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon EC2
• Understanding of IP networking, storage, load balancers, and internet protocols (DNS, LDAP, NTP, SMTP, HTTP)
• Excellent communication skills
• Uphold ServiceNow's values with integrity and transparency

Additional Skills and Experience

• Experience integrating AI into workflows and decision-making
• 3+ years in DevOps activities; Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Experience with web applications, Linux environments, and databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Proven Linux system administration and scripting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of CentOS/RedHat in large-scale environments
• Experience with monitoring tools like Jenkins and Splunk
• Agile methodology experience, e.g., Scrum
• Familiarity with ServiceNow platform customizations and distributed system architectures
