PawPrint is a critical AWS internal service that orchestrates compute capacity planning and delivery for regional expansions. As a Software Development Engineer, you will enhance this essential platform that serves over 1,500 AWS service teams in managing their capacity plans. You will build innovative features focus on automation and footprint optimization, directly contributing to AWS's ability to scale efficiently and meet growing customer demands. As a technical leader of the team, you will spearhead the development of next-generation services that revolutionize automated capacity planning and efficiency optimization. You'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with various AWS service teams and work alongside Principal and Senior Principal Engineers, driving business impact through innovative solutions.Key job responsibilities* Lead the end-to-end design, scoping, implementation, and integration testing of new products and features that run on the EC2 Nitro System.* Set high standards for development processes, tools, and automation to enhance team productivity and quality.* Own the team architecture and define best engineering practices on design and coding.* Identify business problems and opportunities, and advocate for technical solutions that influences the technical roadmap for your team and partner teams.* Mentor engineers with scoping, design, and developing scalable and maintainable code.* Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Product Managers, Sr TPMs, and cross-functional teams to define requirements, system architectures, and implement robust and scalable solutions.About the teamWhy AWS?Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
