    About this Position

    The Sr. Software Architect is responsible for all aspects of software design and development, including delivering technical architecture into product design. Projects involve Connectivity Modules and Network Gateway Modules using technologies such as embedded microprocessors, Ethernet, cellular modems (LTE, 5G), Bluetooth/WiFi chipsets, GPS/GNSS, and IMU technology.

    The role focuses on delivering automotive-grade software to enable connectivity and security for future vehicles and mobility solutions.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Lead interface with internal and customer systems and project management to represent software architecture, design, and development.
    • Drive software architecture and design across the product development process, including project planning, status reporting, team engagement, and risk mitigation.
    • Ensure effective communication among team members, including internal/external clients and resources, regarding software architecture and development.
    • Develop statements of work for external contractors contributing to software design and coordinate their deliverables.
    • Develop and review software test and verification plans, and establish ongoing development strategies.
    • Collaborate with systems and hardware teams for system bring-up, integration, and testing.
    • Serve as lead and mentor for new software engineers on the project team.

    Basic Qualifications (Need to Haves):

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
    • 10+ years of automotive software design and development experience
    • 5+ years of full lifecycle automotive software experience
    • 2+ years in technical mentoring and project leadership
    • 2+ years with vehicle connectivity products
    • Proven software design expertise with a successful track record, fluent in mathematics, statistics, geospatial engineering, and computer science
    • Experience in software review and mentoring less experienced engineers
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills

    Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Haves):

    • Master's degree in a technical discipline
    • 15+ years in automotive software design and development
    • 10+ years in connectivity, infotainment, safety, and telematics systems
    • Experience with C, C++, MQTT, Python, Java, etc.
    • Experience leading and integrating embedded software for AutoSAR, QNX, Embedded Linux, or Embedded C
    • Experience with automotive Systems-on-Chip (SOC) from TI, Renesas, NXP, Qualcomm, Infineon, etc.
    • Experience with automotive memory types such as DDR, NAND, NOR, UFS
    • Experience with automotive wireless communication chipsets for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and wireless combo chips
    • Experience with automotive Network Access Devices from Qualcomm, Intel, Sierra Wireless, etc.
    • Experience with automotive GNSS/GPS/PPP and IMU projects for vehicle positioning
    • Experience with automotive Cyber Security and Functional Safety requirements
