Job Description :

Precise Executive Search is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in the South Metro that is gearing up for an SEC Registration Process.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and technically strong accounting professional who's passionate about SEC reporting and compliance. You'll be the go-to expert for technical accounting guidance and play a key role in preparing and reviewing external financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and related supporting documents such as earnings releases, proxy statements, and XBRL tagging.

  • Serve as a key liaison between internal finance teams, executives, legal counsel, and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial disclosures.

  • Lead technical accounting research on U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations; draft well-documented position papers and memos.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new accounting standards and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance and recommending process adjustments as needed.

  • Support quarterly and annual audit activities, including coordination with external auditors.

  • Assist with investor-facing deliverables, including board materials, earnings call presentations, and investor decks.

  • Collaborate on continuous improvements in reporting processes, controls, and systems (including SOX compliance).

  • Support month- and quarter-end close activities when necessary.

  • Proactively identify potential issues in financial reporting and communicate effectively with leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on SEC reporting experience.

  • Background in both public accounting and corporate environments is a plus.

  • Strong command of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting principles.

  • Experience working in a SOX-controlled environment.

  • Proficiency with XBRL tagging.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word skills; experience with Workiva or similar tools preferred.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and organizational ability.

This is a primarily on-site position, expected to be in the office Monday through Friday. While a consistent in-office presence is expected, we support flexibility when needed to accommodate personal or professional needs.

Pay Range - $95-140K + bonus potential
