This role requires independent work and collaboration skills, with a focus on visionary thinking and analytical problem-solving.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- P.E. license in North Carolina.
- 10-20 years of experience in transportation and roadway design.
- 5 years of project management experience preferred.
- Required experience with NCDOT design projects.
- Proficiency in Micro Station and Geopak design software.
Responsibilities:
- Design tasks for roadway projects from preliminary to final design.
- Develop specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages.
- Provide design services for both traditional and design-build transportation projects.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Coordinate design activities with various teams.
- Manage project schedules and budgets.
- Participate in transportation-related organizations.
