Overview
Senior RF Engineer to lead product development on PseudolithIC's heterogeneous integration platform. Collaborate with RFIC designers to define the roadmap from chip specification to delivered packaged die, model packaging and verification approaches, and reduce product cost. Opportunities exist to develop antenna-in-package solutions and other packaging approaches leveraging heterogeneous integration. Work closely with the manufacturing team. This is a hands-on, independent role.
Responsibilities
- Define the roadmap from chip specification to delivered packaged die in collaboration with RFIC designers.
- Model packaging, transitions, and verification approaches to reduce product cost.
- Develop antenna-in-package solutions and other unique packaging approaches leveraging heterogeneous integration.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure manufacturability and quality.
- Act in a hands-on, independent capacity within the Design Team.
Qualifications
- Deep understanding of radio-frequency and millimeter-wave theories and concepts related to S-parameters, de-embedding, matching, and microwave components.
- Experience in design and modeling of front-end module packaging accounting for parasitics and transitions.
- Knowledge of noise, linearity, mismatch, stability, and analog impairments characterization.
- Knowledge of semiconductor technologies for RF applications.
- Preferred experience with antenna design and co-integration of chips and antennas through packaging.
- Proficient use of Keysight ADS or Cadence AWR for co-design of chip and package.
- Fluency with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools (Momentum, Clarity, HFSS or equivalent).
- Experience in RF/mm-wave measurements including network analysis, pulsed power, and low-noise instrumentation; probe station experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) and ability to work effectively with other product development team members.
- Education: BS with 12+ years experience, MS + 7 years, or PhD + 5 years in electrical engineering or related field.
Compensation
Target base salary for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 per year, plus meaningful equity, bonus, benefits, and 401k. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, experience, and location.
