Metro West Collabora-ve Development (Metro West CD) seeks a Senior Real Estate Project Manager or a Real Estate Project Manager to join our collabora-ve team of housing professionals. The person in this full--me posi-on will work closely with the Director of Real Estate, Execu-ve Director, and other project managers to drive affordable housing projects forward, from feasibility studies through construc-on and stabilized occupancy. The Senior Project Manager role requires deeper experience and project leadership, while the Project Manager posi-on may fit candidates with founda-onal experience and a strong commitment to grow in affordable housing development.

The Organiza7on

Metro West CD is a Massachusetts non-profit community development corpora-on (CDC) formed in 1991 to address the shrinking supply of affordable housing in communi-es west of Boston. Our target area includes 46 communi-es in the West Metro region, with a focus on attracting and retaining low- and moderate-income residents. We have an annual opera-ng budget of $2.2 million and a staff of twelve. Our work encompasses affordable housing development, advocacy, public policy, affirma-ve marke-ng, eligibility cer-fica-on, and housing search assistance. Primary Responsibili7es

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of real estate development projects (typically two at a time), from feasibility to stabilized occupancy, reporting to the Director of Real Estate. Depending on experience, support may include collaboration with the Director and development consultants. Responsibilities include managing project schedules, coordinating RFP responses, facilitating zoning and permitting, establishing project teams, securing financing, developing budgets, managing invoices, participating in construction meetings, ensuring equity and inclusion goals, maintaining relationships with lenders and partners, coordinating marketing and lease-up, preparing for meetings, supervising staff, and participating in racial equity trainings.

Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is passionate about affordable housing in high-opportunity suburban communities, collaborative, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and a creative problem solver. They should have experience in community and real estate development, with strong organizational and communication skills, and a minimum of three years' relevant experience. A bachelor's degree in urban planning, real estate, or related fields is required, with a master's preferred. Experience with financing, project management, and community engagement is essential.

Compensation and Benefits

Senior Project Manager: $95,000 - $110,000 (up to $115,000 for exceptional candidates).Project Manager: $70,000 - $90,000, based on experience.Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, 401k with match, life and disability insurance, paid leave, parental leave, remote work options, summer Fridays, and professional development.

Work Schedule & Transportation

Typically Monday-Friday, 9-5, with some evening meetings. At least one day in the office and frequent site visits are required. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
