Job Description :

Join our growing team at Saab, Inc. as a Senior Quality Inspector specializing in In-Process Inspection. In this crucial role, you will be integral to the assembly process, ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards throughout the build process.

  • You will have the responsibility to authorize assembly completions and assist the build team with in-process inspections.

  • Visually and dimensionally validate that products comply with engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Inspect for defects in surfaces, fasteners, sealant, paint, and testing, maintaining a keen eye for detail.

  • Compile technical data and reports to deliver valuable feedback on inspection results and suggest corrective actions.

  • Develop deviation reports and act as the quality representative at the Material Review Board.

  • Manage non-conforming material processes and procedures effectively.

  • Exhibit a high level of craftsmanship during inspections for structural assemblies and system installations.

  • Become a subject matter expert in quality management systems and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

  • Participate in tooling validation to enhance product quality and efficiency.

  • Establish standardized working procedures to ensure high repeatability in processes.

Compensation Range: $28.08-$33.70 per hour

The offered compensation range is a guideline; factors such as role responsibilities, location, market considerations, and individual experience will influence the final offer.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • High school degree or equivalent is required; a technical degree or certification in electro/mechanical assembly or related fields is preferred.

  • Over 5 years of qualified inspection experience in defense manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with ISO/AS9100 standards and highly standardized processes.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment.

  • Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications in both written and digital formats.

  • Capability to select appropriate working methods and tools to achieve quality and efficiency.

  • Adeptness in working under standardized procedures for high repeatability in sophisticated environments.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to be self-mobile and stand for extended periods.

  • Capacity to perform tasks including sitting, bending, walking, climbing, and reaching throughout the workday.

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.

  • Normal hearing and vision are essential for effective communication and execution of directives.

  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or a protected individual under the relevant U.S. laws.
