UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Senior QA Performance Engineer with over 8 years of software testing experience and deep expertise in performance testing, cloud platforms, and test automation. This is a remote role operating during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, and candidates must reside in the EST Time Zone.

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Candidates who do not meet the mandatory qualifications will not be considered.
8+ years of overall software testing experience
7+ years of performance testing experience with OpenText/Microfocus Performance Center/LoadRunner
3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS, and familiarity with cloud services
Understanding of API gateways, proxies, and securing API endpoints (rate limiting, API tokens, etc.)
Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
Experience with Git, Azure DevOps Pipelines, or equivalent CI/CD tools
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
High level of responsibility and the ability to work independently
Excellent technical writing skills with the ability to create clear, structured documentation
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Experience with Azure services including App Service, Logic Apps, Blob Storage, and Data Lake
Familiarity with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services
Experience using Azure Monitoring services
SOFT SKILLS:
Strong teamwork and communication abilities
Ability to adapt in fast-paced, collaborative environments
Detail-oriented with excellent time management and documentation skills
SCOPE OF SERVICES:
Identify performance bottlenecks and collaborate with developers, architects, and business owners
Translate application workflows into performance testing scenarios
Communicate performance compliance standards and load expectations
Work with test leads to select performance testing tools and develop performance test scripts
Define performance test types (stress, stability, breakpoint, etc.)
Determine monitoring points and coordinate with support teams
Design and execute performance tests, analyze results, and report findings
Recommend fixes for performance issues and sign off on applications for production deployment
Maintain Citywide performance testing standards and contribute to performance test labs
Assist in troubleshooting production issues by reproducing them in staging environments
Contribute to the documentation and creation of performance test strategies, plans, scripts, and metrics
Support QA labs and tools including test management platforms
WORK LOCATION:
Remote – Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (standard business hours)
SCHEDULE:
40 hours per week (excluding mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work)
PROJECTED ASSIGNMENT DATES:
Start Date: June 2, 2025
End Date: June 1, 2026
