LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Property Accountant for a leading commercial real estate firm based in Dallas, TX. This role involves full-cycle property accounting, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and lease-related accounting, supporting a portfolio of real estate assets.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and have at least 5-7 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting or public accounting with exposure to real estate clients.

This position pays 95K-100K+Bonus and offers excellent work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly general ledger activities, including financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and accrual accounting
• Review GAAP rent calculations monthly and perform related analytics to ensure accuracy
• Record fixed assets, calculate and book depreciation, and analyze fixed asset activity
• Produce joint venture reporting packages on a monthly basis
• Prepare funding requests and coordinate loan draws for designated properties
• Support year-end audit activities by preparing audit schedules and financial statements
• Assist in compiling tax package documentation and related support
• Manage manual billing processes, including adjustments and supplemental ledger entries
• Reconcile daily cash activity and maintain accurate cash records
• Handle expense participation billing setup and annual reconciliations in JD Edwards
• Perform lease reviews and peer review setups for accurate EP calculations
• Serve as an accounting resource to property management teams by responding to inquiries

Client Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA highly preferred
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting or relevant public accounting background
• Proficient in Excel
• Yardi or MRI Software is a plus
