Job Description

Equinox seeks a Project Manager of Renovations to oversee the development and management of commercial interior projects that align with our brand direction and innovation. The role involves managing interior projects, executing design requirements, and exploring brand standards, member expectations, and club needs.

This position is on the development side, from project scoping through construction documents and administration. It requires strong interior architectural skills, knowledge of construction methodologies, and a proven track record in delivering high-end commercial interiors.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in scoping and feasibility studies for club renovations, including documenting existing conditions.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Design, and Facilities teams to understand club conditions and issues, creating space plans, blocking layouts, and interior details such as millwork and lighting.
  • Develop conceptual space plans, detailed floor plans, and interior elevations addressing project needs.
  • Document scope and support budgeting and approval processes; manage project scopes, schedules, and work plans.
  • Manage external consultants through all project phases, including schematic design, development, and construction administration.
  • Coordinate with internal partners, manage diverse requirements, and document their needs.
  • Coordinate review and approval of drawings with landlords and authorities for permits.
  • Ensure compliance of consultants with standards and help improve these standards.
  • Work with the design team on selecting finishes, furniture, and accessories to create a branded environment.
  • Resolve field issues related to construction/design by providing expertise and coordinating with consultants.
  • Review shop drawings and material samples.
  • Assist in refining prototypes and standards.
  • Communicate project progress with internal partners such as Club leadership, Operations, and Facilities.
  • Domestic travel required (20%).
  • Qualifications
  • 8-12 years of professional experience in high-end commercial interior development, including at least 3 years in an architecture or construction firm, with experience in retail, hotel, or multi-use facilities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across organizational levels.
  • Excellent time management, technical, and organizational skills.
  • Pay Range: $110K - $120K
