Arora and Associates, PC is seeking qualified applicants for the following position in the Chicago, Illinois area:

As a civil/traffic/transportation project team leader:

• Manage a team of engineers and planners working on the design of civil/traffic/transportation projects for Illinois transportation agencies.
• Manage the design of multiple concurrent engineering projects for technical accuracy and adherence to schedule and budget.
• Coordinate subconsultants.
• Ensure compliance with the company's QA/QC plan.
• Visit project sites to troubleshoot construction issues.
• Communicate and coordinate with clients' representatives.
• Prepare technical and cost proposals.
• Assist with business development in the civil/traffic/transportation engineering space.

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, traffic engineering, transportation planning, or equivalent.
• 30 years of progressive experience including the responsibilities outlined above on projects for Illinois transportation agencies such as Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), Illinois Tollway, local agencies, and planning organizations.
• Knowledgeable about design standards, policies, and procedures of Illinois transportation agencies such as IDOT and the Illinois Tollway.
• Strong presentation and written communication skills.
