Overview

The Senior Project Manager – Concrete provides overall leadership and direction for highly complex projects and/or multiple large-scale projects.

This role owns project outcomes, driving safety, profitability, and operational excellence while supporting JE Dunn's long-standing commitment to quality, employee ownership, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and enforce company-wide safety culture, fostering an injury-free environment through personal example and team mentoring.

Investigate safety incidents and provide staff retraining as needed.

Partner with preconstruction teams on takeoffs, trade coordination, scope development, bid packages, scheduling, and procurement.

Manage subcontractor buyout schedule, verifying pricing, scope alignment, and issuing contracts.

Oversee submittal processes: scheduling, prioritization, review, approval, and distribution to ensure compliance with project timelines.

Conduct estimating, productivity analysis, and preconstruction risk management.

Support senior management during client preconstruction meetings and negotiations.

Direct project teams during estimate development and execution.

Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks to ensure successful delivery.

Required Skills & Certifications

Concrete Project Management

Large Project Management (Projects $100M+)

Candidate Profile

10–15 years of progressive project management experience.

Bachelor's degree required.

Proven management experience with concrete trade partners or GC self-performs concrete groups.

Strong leadership, communication, and risk management skills.

Willingness to travel occasionally.
