Our Client a well known Insurance Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager in their New York, New York Location!

Role Overview

Seeking a results-driven Senior Project Manager to lead enterprise-level initiatives spanning business, risk, and technology functions within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) organization. This role will drive projects supporting responsible AI deployment, ensuring regulatory alignment, and enhancing risk governance effectiveness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic, cross-functional projects within the AI governance program, engaging stakeholders from Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Technology.
  • Align goals, resources, and change management strategies to successfully execute the AI governance roadmap.
  • Define project scope, develop detailed work plans, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, milestones, and interdependencies, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Facilitate working groups, steering committees, and executive-level reporting.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, performance tracking, and status dashboards to ensure transparency and accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of project management experience in complex, regulated environments (e.g., financial services or insurance), including 3+ years in risk, compliance, technology, or governance.
  • Proven track record managing large, complex, cross-functional projects with business, technology, and risk stakeholders.
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations and managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Ability to manage third-party vendors or consultants as part of project delivery.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Coda, and Confluence.
  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience within AI governance, enterprise risk management (ERM), regulatory compliance, or model risk management (MRM) programs.
  • Familiarity with governance, regulatory compliance, and risk principles applicable to financial and insurance institutions.
