Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join our Greenville team. Work location may be in Greenville or on projects in various locations based out of the Carolinas.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following: (other duties may be assigned)
Review and finalize project business plansAssemble project management team with division managementAssemble field supervision team with General SuperintendentReview and evaluate prime contract with project owner and division managementLead correspondence with the Owner, Engineer and ArchitectResponsible for procurement and management of third party consultants (waterproofing, QC, geotech, etc)Manage subcontractor default insurance/risk mitigation plan for projectsObtain builders' risk, general liability insurance and bonding as required for compliance with prime contractCreate staging, logistics and phasing plan for projectsWork with pre-construction department to transition the project from estimating to project managementOversee issuance of subcontracts and purchase ordersWork with project management team, scheduling consultant, and/or field supervision to schedule the project. Monitor overall project schedule on a monthly basisOversee submittal processEstablish project schedule of values and billing and payment application requirements. Track account receivablesReview and estimate project contract changes (drawing revisions, ASI's, contract change directives) and coordinate with project delivery requirementsIssue change order requests for work outside of the scope of the plans and specificationsResponsible for project cost allocation and oversight of financial management processReview monthly financial projections through detailed monitoring of project costsLead OAC progress meetings and review monthly status reportsProvide feedback to estimating department on project(s) presently under constructionAssist with business development initiatives for select clients and particular market sectorsTrain and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Co-Op/Intern StudentsEducation - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor degree in construction, engineering, or related field, or related construction experienceMinimum of 10 years of construction experienceUnderstanding of all aspects of project managementAbility to manage multiple projects and groups of peopleProven leadership abilityWorking knowledge of Prolog and other construction softwareThorough understanding of financial accounting systemsProven ability to deliver projects within contract requirementsEffective oral communication and interpersonal skillsTechnical writing skillsConflict resolution skills and experience with successfully resolving disputesSuperior organizational skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize resourcesWillingness to travel and/or relocate, as both may be requiredThe above description covers the principal duties and responsibilities of the job.
