JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Project Manager/Healthcare is responsible and accountable for ensuring that all assigned operations are performed according to applicable standards and specifications, and to good construction practices. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to bring innovation, collaboration, and technological advancement to assist our clients in delivering complex projects.

PROJECT LOCATION: Bronx, NY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside executive managers to deliver a capital portfolio.
  • Assist in guiding the project team to manage all phases of the project life cycle including but not limited to budgeting, planning, logistics etc.
  • Assist the Senior Program and Construction Manager in their duties.
  • Participate in the submittal, RFI, RFC, construction submittal reviews, claim reviews, and draft responses for review by the Senior Program and Construction Manager.
  • Monitor and report on construction progress.
  • Participate in meetings.
  • Coordinate the work of field inspectors.
  • Assist the Senior Program and Construction Manager in managing project staff and performing field inspection and documentation of the Contractor's activities.
  • Perform field measurements for quantity calculations and reporting for pay estimates.
  • Communicate effectively with the project team, including Clients, Contractors, and Project Stakeholders.
  • Works on projects of substantial complexity.
  • May assume lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support personnel.
  • Provide quality inspection to ensure that the job is being built in accordance with approved plans.
  • Assist in constructability reviews.
  • Assist in monitoring project budget.
  • Assist in contractor s monthly evaluations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to become thoroughly familiar with contract requirements, site conditions, and special provisions including all relevant standards, requirements, and stipulations.
  • Understanding of the agency s policies, procedures, and Infrastructure s Standard Construction Operating Procedures (SCOP s).
  • Extremely organized and detailed oriented, with the ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple requests in a growing company environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing program/project teams on large complex healthcare

projects.

  • Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with associates, contractors, and the public.
  • Active Hospital/Healthcare facility experience required.
  • NYC HHC experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience in MEP / HVAC.
  • Excellent English language skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Submittal Exchange, and other project management software.
  • Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor s degree (B. S., or B.A.) in Engineering or Construction Management and a minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience (clinical renovations, owner representative/project management experience, specifically in hospital, healthcare systems, high-rise construction, etc).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

OSHA 30-Hour Certificate.

Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA) and/or Certified Construction Manage (CCM) preferred.

$78.00/Hourly Salary ((Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education.)
