We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects.

The OpportunityWe are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to ensure the success and seamless execution of construction projects. Responsibilities include assisting management with technical project management, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards. Technical support involves construction planning, design interpretation, resolving conflicts, constructability reviews, and managing project documentation.

LocationYou can be based anywhere in the US, with willingness to travel long-term to client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution: Ensure compliance with company and contract requirements, support construction schedules, and provide technical support including planning, design interpretation, and shop drawing processing.
  • Budget Management: Monitor expenditures, track financial progress, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Resource Management: Lead and support project teams, manage subcontractors, and coordinate on-site activities to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Risk Management: Represent the company in meetings with clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Technical Support: Serve as the key technical person on projects, potentially managing small to medium-sized projects.
  • Qualifications

    • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
    • At least 5 years of construction engineering experience.
    • Strong knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.

    Ideally, you'll also have

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to implement management strategies to improve project and team performance.

    Skills and Attributes for Success

    • Technical knowledge of construction and engineering processes, procurement, project controls, and contract management.
    • Proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
    • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
