Career Opportunity

Provides project management, design, and coordination to improve the production process, maintain manufacturing facilities, and ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety codes. Responsibilities include generating feasibility studies, performing engineering calculations, producing project estimates, scope of work, and schedules. The engineer will also provide engineering designs, coordinate construction work, monitor contractor safety, performance, and progress to meet the mill's engineering goals in a timely manner.

How You Will Impact Westrock
  • Manage and complete projects across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Develop and execute capital projects, ensuring scope, budget, and schedule adherence, while meeting safety and environmental standards.
  • Develop capital projects through all phases, thoroughly evaluating aspects and identifying risks.
  • Lead projects from planning through construction.
  • Forecast capital spending for each project.
  • Support document control processes, including drawing management and specifications development.
  • Support maintenance and operations with technical and engineered solutions.
  • Support operations during nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Contribute to a 5-year capital plan aligned with long-term facility needs.
What You Will Need To Succeed
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience in heavy industrial or process industries.
  • Pulp & Paper experience preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of capital project experience.
