We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and seamless execution of construction projects. Your responsibilities include assisting management with technical aspects of project management, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. Technical support involves construction planning, design interpretation, construction methods application, resolving design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. You will also develop and implement project engineering procedures and manage documents using the Prolog database.

Location: You can be based anywhere in the US, with willingness to travel long-term to client projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution: Ensure engineering activities meet requirements and support construction schedules. Provide technical support in planning, design, and resolving design conflicts. Develop and administer project procedures.
  • Budget Management: Monitor expenditures, track financial progress, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Resource Management: Foster collaboration, guide team members, and manage personnel and subcontractor activities. Coordinate with on-site departments to resolve issues and ensure quality.
  • Risk Management: Represent the company in meetings with A/E, clients, and project teams.
  • Technical Support: Serve as the key technical person on projects, potentially managing small to medium-sized projects.
  • Qualifications:

    • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
    • Minimum 5 years of similar construction engineering experience.
    • Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards, with an understanding of interdependent functional units.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills for coordinating with teams and stakeholders.
    • Ability to implement management strategies to improve project and employee performance.

    Skills and Attributes for Success:

    • Strong technical knowledge in construction, engineering, procurement, project controls, and contracts.
    • Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
    • Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.
    • Ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing environments.
