The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing or General Build Construction projects.

You will play a crucial role in ensuring success and seamless execution of construction projects. You are responsible for assisting the Management Teams of all technical aspects of project management, coordinating between various stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Technical support includes participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. You'll also develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents in the Prolog database, material status reports, process requests for information, and manage meeting minutes.

Location

You can be located anywhere in the US, if you are highly willing to travel to our client projects on a long-term basis.

ResponsibilitiesYour key responsibilities

Project Execution: Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule. Provide technical support for construction including participation in planning and design, interpretation of design, and resolution of conflicts. Develop and administer project engineering procedures.

Budget Management: Assist with monitoring expenditure, tracking financial progress, and ensuring costs remain within budget. Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies.

Resource Management: Foster a collaborative environment, guide team members, and manage project engineering and related personnel functions including subcontractor planning. Interface with on-site departments to resolve problems and ensure quality.

Risk Management: Represent the company during meetings with A/E, clients, and project management.

Technical Support: Act as a key technical person on projects, possibly responsible for small to medium projects.

QualificationsTo qualify, you must have

• A 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., with an understanding of interdependent functional units.

Ideally, you'll also have

• Excellent communication and organizational skills for cross-functional coordination.
• The ability to implement management strategies to enhance performance.
