We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing or General Build Construction projects.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to ensure the success and seamless execution of construction projects. Responsibilities include assisting management with technical project management, stakeholder coordination, and project completion within budget, scope, and quality standards. Technical support involves construction planning, design interpretation, resolving conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. You will also develop and manage project engineering procedures and documents.

Location

Remote in the US, with willingness to travel to client projects long-term.

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution: Ensure engineering activities comply with requirements and support construction schedules. Participate in planning, design, and resolve design conflicts.
  • Budget Management: Monitor expenditures, track financial progress, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Resource Management: Lead and support project teams, coordinate with on-site departments to resolve issues and ensure quality.
  • Risk Management: Represent the company in meetings with A/E, clients, and project teams.
  • Technical Support: Serve as the key technical person, possibly managing small to medium projects.
  • Qualifications

    • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
    • At least 5 years of construction engineering experience.
    • Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards.

    Preferred Skills

    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to implement management strategies to improve project and employee performance.

    Skills and Attributes

    • Technical knowledge in construction, engineering processes, procurement, and project controls.
    • Proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
    • Experience in risk management.
    • Adaptability to fast-paced environments.
