Role

Position: Senior Product Safety Consultant

Client: Leading Global Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) Solutions Provider

About the Role

As a Senior Product Safety Consultant, you will manage complex Product Safety & Certification projects across multiple product categories. You will interface with customers and Certification Bodies, define project scope and test plans, perform evaluations on electrical/electronic/electromechanical equipment, and provide engineering recommendations to bring products into compliance with North American and global standards. Some travel and on-site client testing may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex Product Safety & Certification projects across multiple product categories.
  • Interface with customers and Certification Bodies; define project scope and test plans.
  • Perform evaluations on electrical/electronic/electromechanical equipment.
  • Provide engineering recommendations to bring products into compliance with North American and global standards.
  • Travel and on-site client testing may be required.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in global Product Safety & Certifications with UL, Intertek, CSA, CE, CB, CCC, or equivalent.
  • Strong technical expertise across multiple product categories, including practical application of conformity assessment standards.
  • Expertise in safety standards (e.g. IEC 60601, 62368, 61010, 60335) across sectors including medical, laboratory, ITE, household, HVAC and machinery.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers and leading technical projects.
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Physics, or equivalent experience from an ABET-accredited program.
