Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) is looking for an experienced product leader to define product strategy and play a key role in accelerating the adoption of containers and cloud native technologies from AWS.

As part of the Amazon ECR team, you will be responsible for imagining, designing, and building the next generation of container management and storage tools used by some of the largest and most impactful organizations in the world. You will be the voice of the customer within AWS, prioritizing development of new products and features, defining requirements, guiding engineering teams, and building go-to-market strategy. This role will be visible at the highest levels of the company and requires coordination across many internal and external teams.

You will succeed in this role if you are someone who is motivated to take on challenging problems, understand the power of good decisions, and are able to easily work with multi-disciplinary teams of people. We are looking for a proven ability to define strategy and someone who is excited to work directly with customers to build new products and improve customer capabilities. This position requires a solid technical background, strong communication skills, and you should be customer-focused with a passion for cloud technology. Past experience working with containers or developer tooling is a plus, but not required.

Key job responsibilities

Define products by working backwards from the needs of different customer segments / jobs-to-be-done

Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical execution

Establish goals, analyze metrics and product usage data to identify new opportunities

Lead user research to identify new opportunities to innovate on behalf of our customers

Create the vision, product strategy and road map for our products and working with key stakeholders in the company to deliver on that vision, e.g. sales, partner team, international site leaders, etc.

Build the go-to-market plan and work to ensure that sales, SAs, and the partner teams have what they need to be successful

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience

Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

BA degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent

3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience

Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working within teams delivering software products and features using agile methodologies

Master's degree in computer science, information systems or business

Experience with container technologies such as Docker, containerd, Kubernetes, etc.
