The Enterprise Marketing Product Management team is responsible for product strategy and roadmap development of a portfolio of marketing products that enable marketing automation, personalization, loyalty, and customer engagement for both DIY and Pro lines of business. This team plays a critical role in customer advocacy and driving bottom-line/top-line growth, working cross-functionally with eCommerce, Marketing, Sales, and IT organizations.
AAP is seeking an innovative technologist and product leader energized by the future of digital marketing who can thrive in ambiguity. As a Senior Product Manager for marketing products, you will develop the product roadmap for digital marketing products serving both corporate and independent customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, understand business needs, and implement innovative solutions to enhance marketing capabilities and deliver measurable results. You will lead the strategic use of existing technologies and third-party solutions, helping the business migrate to new platforms. This role involves translating business requirements into technical directions for Agile teams.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Interface with business stakeholders to identify strategic marketing technology opportunities that deliver innovation, revenue, and operational improvements for the assigned product area.
- Create and own Epics aligned with business goals, developing clear, actionable user stories. Champion understanding of these stories across the organization involved in design, development, and launch.
- Identify opportunities to support existing technology stacks, define initiatives, quantify investments and returns, and communicate these to executive decision-makers to secure investment.
- Steward digital customer experience from a marketing perspective, working cross-functionally with eCommerce, POS, and Store teams.
- Ensure marketing activities comply with consumer regulations such as CCPA, GDPR, NCCPA.
- Utilize data and analytics to develop compelling stories and strategic/tactical plans.
- Contribute to overall product planning, including quarterly and annual planning to meet growth objectives like revenue, market share, ROI, and profitability.
- Demonstrate bias for action while managing stakeholder expectations and organizational alignment.
- Showcase leadership consistent with AAP cultural beliefs and leadership competencies.
QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum 8 years' experience in product management, with at least 3 years in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- 3+ years' experience in Martech and/or Adtech.
- 2+ years' experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Cloud preferred; experience with Adtech, content management, personalization, identity resolution, and loyalty marketing, ideally in automotive or retail industries.
- Hands-on understanding of gen-AI and Agentic-AI is desired.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to synthesize complex solutions, and evaluate problems.
- Bias for action and innovation, with ability to educate non-technical stakeholders.
- Adaptability to change, ownership, and accountability.
- Experience with project management tools like Jira, Confluence, Atlassian suite is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to work across business and IT teams.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-8+ years of experience in product management and Martech/Adtech.
- Credentials like CSPO, Martech certifications are a plus.
