Role Snapshot

Our Senior Process Automation Developer designs, develops, implements, and maintains automation solutions to streamline and improve business processes. This developer partners with business stakeholders and users to understand process requirements, document process flows, and identify automation opportunities. The role requires strong coding skills (C#, VB.NET, VBA, SQL) and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows. The developer will participate in an on-call rotation and assist in research for issue resolution.

Salary Range

$100,000 - $145,000The base pay offered may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and may fall outside this range.

Remote work is permitted in the following states: Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin.

Employees within 45 miles of WPS Headquarters (1717 W. Broadway, Madison, WI) are expected to work hybrid 2 days a week.

  • Committed to staying updated on automation technologies and trends.
  • Capable of leading complex initiatives and mentoring staff.
  • Strong experience with ASP.NET, SQL Server, MVC, Web Services (REST, SOAP).
  • Interested in working in a secure environment and passionate about development and problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Resided in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in software development.
  • Extensive programming experience (C#, VB.NET, .NET, SQL).
  • Strong skills in Excel, VBA, GIT.
  • Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years creating automated workflows in enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency with automation tools and technologies.
  • Experience with mainframe automation, SQL Server queries, web services, ASP.NET, HTML5.

Remote Work Requirements

  • Wired internet connection with minimum 10 Mbps downstream and 1 Mbps upstream.
