Arm is seeking a leader with strong technical skills and industry or academic experience in robotics and embodied intelligence. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of the emerging embodied AI sector and be capable of articulating how to evolve the Arm architecture to support it efficiently, securely, and with high performance. Arm's position within the microelectronics ecosystem and focus on AI and robotics present unique technical challenges as we build the future together.Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead a research team developing and applying embodied AI to explore how to evolve the Arm architecture for these use cases.
- Understand current trends in embodied AI and project future opportunities and gaps.
- Analyze and optimize robotics foundation models, VLA models, and VLMs for robotics and embodied intelligence.
- Supervise the integration of Agentic AI within robotic systems to ensure performance, safety, and compliance, including behavior characterization and updates.Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 years of industry experience with robotics foundation models, VLA models, and VLMs.
- Strong research background in embodied intelligence, reinforcement learning, imitation learning, task planning, perception, and simulation platforms like Gazebo and Isaac Sim.
- Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, C, C++, Java, ROS, and CUDA.
- Excellent communication skills for technical reporting and presentation.Nice to Have:
- PhD in EECS/Robotics or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with Arm architecture and systems.
