Job Description:

What You'll Do

Collaborates with business leaders and subject matter experts (such as Strategic Client Management, Pricing and Analytics) to drive execution of the Discover-defined Counterparty Remediation Plan (CRP) and the defined deliverables. Leads outlining requirements and developing strategies for aspects of overall approach to the restitution program, including objectives, workplan, and deliverables to address all impacted counterparty segments. Manages delivery of the remediation workplan. Defines scope, deliverables, and oversees execution of scope of the Discover-selected third-party Claims Administrator. Has experience with the payments market landscape, conducting analysis, and leading execution of major business growth, business development, and/or business optimization activities.

Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

How You'll Do It

  • Leads and influences in problem solving with business partners and stakeholders in enterprise activities that have dependencies on the development and outcomes of the counterparty remediation plan, such as the Legal department and Regulatory Affairs. Coordinates with cross-functional teams and external third-party administrator to manage the development & execution for CRP.
  • Works on problems and projects of diverse scope related to advancing & executing CRP program.
  • Design and implement reporting (and/or analytics as required) to various stakeholders including executive management, the Office of Remediation, and other external stakeholders to manage and monitor the counterparty remediation plan. Provides consistent status communication to management which includes applicable escalations on the execution of the counterparty remediation program.
  • Leads coordination of artifacts for various internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators.
  • Conducts and /or interprets analysis on components of CRP strategy.

Qualifications You'll NeedMinimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Restitution/remediation, M&A, investment banking, business development or optimization, business analysis, consulting, or related
  • 2+ years of experience in Payments, financial services, or related

In Lieu of Education Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Restitution/remediation, M&A, investment banking, business development or optimization, business analysis, consulting, or related
  • 2+ years of experience in Payments, financial services, or related

Preferred Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration and Management
  • Project Management/Strong attention to detail
  • Risk Management experience: controls/documentation, working with regulators, etc

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $106,000.00 to $178,800.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
